Ellie Robinson set a new world record on her way to victory in the women’s MC 50m butterfly during day two of the 2018 British Summer Championships in Sheffield.

Paralympic champion Robinson’s incredible time of 35.22 smashed the previous S6 50m butterfly world record by more than 0.2 seconds as she took gold at Ponds Forge.

There were also impressive British age group records set by both Cameron Williams and Archie Goodburn.

Williams, who had already set a British best time on his way to gold in the 100m breaststroke on day one, returned to take gold over 50m and set a British 14 Yrs age group record of 29.73.

Goodburn set his record in the men’s 17/18 Yrs 50m breaststroke, with a winning time of 28.04.
